Unable to Change Permalink for Author Profile - Support

I’ve tried to change permalink for author profile on my website. But whenever after changing the permalink I update my user profile, I saw that the permalink hasn’t changed. It’s become as previous url. I’ve facing this issue in updating author profile’s meta data changing. I’ve tried your this tutorial https://rankmath.com/kb/meta-data-not-saving/. But it didn’t fix.

I checked the updateMeta route on your website and WordFence is blocking access to the route. In order to save the data, this route should not be restricted.

If you’re not sure, please get in touch with your web host regarding this and they would be able to help you whitelist the route.

As of your request I’ve whitelist the routes in Wordfence which you’ve asked. But I’m still getting the same error. Can you please recheck it and let me know what should I do next?

Hello,

The user you have created for us doesn’t have permission to access the user profiles. Please provide the access so we can check.

However, if the issue is only with saving the permalink of the user profiles then it isn’t an issue with Rank Math. The changes made to the author slug in the meta box will not work because WordPress doesn’t allow to change the author slug by default. Please use the following plugin to make changes to the author slug: https://wordpress.org/plugins/edit-author-slug/

If you are also facing the issue with saving the title and description then please provide the access to the user profiles so we can check.
