Two Meta Descriptions?

    Hi. Not sure what’s caused this. Not sure if I had this before moving to RankMath or something happened in the move from Yoast, that caused it. But the result is this – some of my posts/pages have two meta descriptions. What’s worse, is that the one that’s showing up as the main one, is incorrect. Example page.

    The meta description for this page should be “Local Farnham Wedding Photographers Carol & Paul Tansley. Capture beautiful natural wedding photography all over the local area and beyond.” That’s what’s in the meta description box in RankMath (same as it was in Yoast, previously). However, the meta description showing up as the main one is “hampshire wedding photographers”.

    Obviously not good having 2 meta descriptions and I can see how to remove the main one (but I want to keep that). But how do I remove the 2nd one? As there’s no box for it, that I can see. Is there a tool I can use, or some way of manually removing it, for each page.

    Not sure who else to ask about this. Hopefully you guys can help.

    And any ideas what may have caused it to put the 2nd one in there?

    I found the culprit!

    In ProPhoto it has SEO built in. With Yoast, this gets automatically detected, so turns off. With RankMath, it doesn’t detect it, so unknowing to me, it turned itself on! Not good.

    I’ve now turned it off again, will see if that clears the duplicates. Fingers crossed.
