Hello,
We found 2 critical default Product Schema Markup issues with Rank Math SEO. It negatively affects big websites with lots of reviews:
1. Rank Math SEO displays all reviews into the LD+JSON Schema Markup: it increases the DOM and the loading page. It’s not compliant with Google SEO recommendations.
The good behaviour will be that only show in Schema Markup the reviews display in the HTML (not the reviews are display with the Ajax “Load more” button). Here a reference: https://support.google.com/webmasters/thread/22540382/how-many-review-should-be-iclude-in-review-schema?hl=en
– Google Guidelines: Make sure the reviews and ratings you mark up are readily available to users from the marked-up page. It should be immediately obvious to users that the page has review content.
– It increases a lot the DOM and the loading page speed that negatively impacts the SEO. Think page products who have 1000+ reviews with each ReviewBody of 20 words (you display 20 000 words in the schema.org)
– All big websites have in their Schema Markup only visible reviews on the page.
– Google have already all reviews rating with “aggregateRating”:{“@type”:”AggregateRating”,”ratingValue”:”4.30″,”bestRating”:”5″,”ratingCount”:”1000″,”reviewCount”:”1000″}.
2. You use an incorrect name into Product Schema Markup: you have to write “reviewBody” instead of “description” for the review content.
Thank you.
