Hi guys,
I installed the Gtranslate plugin and set it to translate URLs for individual countries. I opted for the subdirectory option, so I think it created a link that put the different /pl,/es/sk, etc., on the end.
I started getting lots of spammy links plus thousands of 404 internal link errors.
After the scan last night, I was getting all kinds of 500, 4XX, and 5XX errors, so I removed the plugin and rolled it back to a site backup from the day before I installed the plugin, as advised by my hosts Cloudways.
The current Semrush scan is still showing over 11k 404 errors, along with a bunch of others, plus my site health scores, as you can see from the screen grabs.
It also says – We have detected that your robots.txt file has been changed.
On GSC, it’s showing thousands of new URLs, although they look like they are not indexed with the no index tag; hopefully, that’s a good thing.
Could you please advise how to fix this and get things back to how they were?
It would be really appreciated.
Thanks
Matt
