  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

You can easily translate your WooCommerce product’s meta description on your WordPress Dashboard > WPML > String Translation

Here’s a link for more information:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/multilingual-seo-wpml/#translating-meta

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.

Can you tell me the extact name of the string that is the meta description?
There are 42 strings in my panel and a lot of them have in the name the word description.
    Thank You.

    Hello,

    Thank you for the follow-up.

Are you using Rank Math variables for your meta description of your product pages? The default meta description is set as %excerpt% for that.

In any case, you still can’t find it, we can also take a look at your website. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

Thank you, and we really look forward to helping you.

The meta descriptions of all products is hand written.

    Hello,

    Thanks for your reply.

The Meta titles and descriptions can be translated using the string admin_texts_rank-math-options-titles.

Please refer to this tutorial guide for more details: https://rankmath.com/kb/multilingual-seo-wpml/#translating-meta

Hope this helps and please let us know if you have any further questions, it would be our pleasure to assist you.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Since you are having 42 title strings you need to choose the one you have used to set your products’ meta description. In this case, you have used the %except% variable. So you need to use the one with [rank-math-options-titles] pt_product_description.

Else if you want to have the one on the Rank Math snippet translated you should use this one: [rank-math-options-titles] pt_product_default_snippet_desc

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Sorry Brian but i do not understand, i have 200 products with 200 different meta descriptions, if i insert a value here: https://prnt.sc/12ba33q

the meta description will be the same for all the products, correct?

Is it not possible ot have sometihng easy and user friendly like Yoast?

    https://prnt.sc/12bagoo

Something that help users in the translation, something different from your (hard and not user friendly) system.

    Thank You.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

In Rank Math, we handle the string translation in a different way. For each language, you can add the title and description in the Settings fields itself, it is not a must you add it from the String translation menu.

You can check the link below for steps and more information:
    https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/optimize-multilingual-websites-using-rank-math-and-wpml/

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance.
