    Rank Math free

    Hi,
My traffic have dropped significantly right after I installed RankMath.

A few days after installing the plugin, I noticed that the redirect urls I had set up that was imported into rank math was not setup correctly and all redirected pages pointed to a 404 page.

I also noticed that my robot.txt file was missing. My traffic is still dropping and I was wondering if there are some changes the plugin had made that I am missing. Please can you take a look at my site.
    Thanks.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for the delay and for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

I’ve tried checking your site but I’m getting an Origin Error. I’ve attached a screenshot in the sensitive data section.

In this case, I would recommend getting in touch with your web host and let us know if it’s already resolved so we can investigate this issue further.

Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.

    Hello,
Thank you for your reply. I have resolved the origin error which was caused by my host. Can you now take a look?

    Hello

Thank you for getting back to us.

Upon checking your site I did activate Rank Math and noticed you had not taken full advantage of the plugin to use the advanced mode. I have gone ahead and activated the 404 modules but none were present and the same case with the redirections.

Noticed you also have another plugin for redirections this could cause a conflict with Rank Math hence we recommend maintaining one.

If you had previously done an importation of your redirects you should check within Rank Math if they were successfully imported and their redirect rules match according to how they were set up in your other plugin.

Other than that all your metadata doe seem to appear as it should be. As for the sitemap, this was not changed in your robots file.

You need to change this /wpms-sitemap.xml and use the Rank Math default as sitemap_index.xml. You should check out this file in the root folder of your site domain. Also, submit this new sitemap format to your GSC.

Hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
