Total Pages in Search Console

    Hi, I recently had to deactivate Rank Math and never took the time to set it up properly again. It seemed to have been indexing my tags but I changed that to no index yesterday. If you check the Rank Math ‘Total Pages’ it says that I have hundreds of total pages, but really I have only 50 or 60 posts/pages. Is this because it was indexing tags? I just want to make sure everything is okay now and don’t want to jeopardize my results with the search engines. Thanks

    Hello,

    Thank you for getting in touch with us.

    It could be because of the tag archives.

    Since you made them noindex just yesterday, please wait for Google re-crawl your pages, see the noindex, and remove the tag archives from the index.

    You can then update the GSC cache at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Search Console.
