Tooltip strange Behavior

    Hello,

I have a strange behavior of the plugin with the image tooltips. Given that all the images inserted in the pages have an alt attribute and a title.

If in RankMath General setting> Images> Add missing ALT attributes> Add missing TITLE attributes are activated the tooltips have this behavior, in the Home Pages some images keep the title of the image that I have inserted others instead take the title of the page with increasing numbering https://ada.giardinaggiointeriore.net/, in all the other pages of the site the tooltip corresponds to the title of the page with increasing numbering.

If I deactivate Add missing ALT and Add missing TITLE, in the Home page the first images show the tooltip with the title I entered, the other images no longer have the tooltip, in all other pages of the site the tooltip disappears on any image.

At the moment I left off Add missing ALT attributes and Add missing TITLE attributes, and if in Chrome you try with the developer tools you will see that the title attribute does not exist for the image, while if I reactivate Add missing ALT and missing TITLE l title attribute reappears in Chrome developer tools but with the features I described above.

    Hello,

The alt & title attribute format is as set in WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Images. In your case you have set it to title% %count%.
    Missing Image Alt Text
I couldn’t find any image that is incorrectly showing the title or alt tag on your site.

Please note, in the case the alt text is missing from the images added using your theme, you will need to edit the PHP files for that. Please get in touch with your theme provider and they will be able to provide you with exact instructions on that.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hi,

I solved it by inserting %filename% in place of %title% and %count (title)%.

What is not clear to me is the fact that the images tab in Seo setting should add the alt tag and the title tag to those images that do not have the two attributes.

As I said, by opening the ticket, in all my images i insert the two attributes, but if I deactivate Add missing ALT and missing Title not only the tooltips disappear from some images but also the title tag disappears when I inspect these images with the Google developer tool. Look at the picture

    Hello,

We only add the titles when it is missing from the images.

If we find a title tag is already present, we do not add a title tag to those images.

I am glad you got it to work.

If you need help with anything else, please open a new support ticket here so we can help:
