Title in the search results

I have a little issue with the title of some articles in the search results on google.
Correct title should be “%title% %sep% | name of the website”

for example: “Il Riccio (2009): un film d’altri tempi! | Gli acchiappafilm.it”
where “Il Riccio (2009): un film d’altri tempi!” is the title
    “|” is the separator
“Gli acchiappafilm.it” is the name of the website

for some articles it work right, but for others no. Tt seems that the title is cut after the colon or after the bracket

for example for the title “Richard Jewell (2019): l’eroe semplice di Eastwood | Gli acchiappafilm.it”
on google i see “Richard Jewell – Gli acchiappafilm”.

So i don’t understand which is the problem

  • hello,

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

Please check if your actual SEO title matches the one you have set using Rank Math.

You can confirm the same by opening the post and then following this image tutorial

    https://mythemeshop.d.pr/ePhMiA+

Once the source is opened, search for the word <title> and you can confirm if the title is the same as you entered in the plugin.

If it matches as seen in the HTML source code there is nothing to worry about. Google sometimes does not honor your titles and displays them as per their will.

You can go through this post on Google Search Console support section.

Specifically, you might want to check the title Why the search result title might differ from the page's <title> tag
