There is a known compatibility issue between Rank Math and the standalone Gutenberg plugin. Do you have this plugin installed?
If so, please disable it and use the native block editor that ships with WordPress to fix this.

It looks like some script dependency is missing in WordPress v5.0 which is causing problem. Please update your WordPress, that should fix the issue.
If you don’t want to update the WordPress then please use following filter to remove the Rank Math integration from the Gutenberg Sidebar:
https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#disable-gutenberg-sidebar
That should fix the issue. If there is anything else, please let us know.
