The .htaccess file was not found. – Wordpress

    Hello,
    I was going through the RankMath setup and I encountered this message “The .htaccess file was not found.” After reaching out to the WordPress (my hosting provider) I was told that since they are using nginx based servers, there are no htaccess files on sites hosted with WordPress.com. Can you please advise me on that? Is that something I should not worry about then? Or is there something I should do? Thank you šŸ™‚

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. Iā€™m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

    Since your web host confirmed that your site’s running on the Nginx environment, you can ignore that message in the Edit .htaccess option from Rank Math.

    If you wanted to do some .htaccess modifications, you can get in touch with them as they are in a better position to apply them to your Nginx configuration.
