Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with the custom-translated language not displaying in Rank Math v1.0.253. It seems that the translation you created using the Loco Translate plugin is not being recognized by the latest version of Rank Math.
To troubleshoot this issue, please follow these steps:
- Check Translation Files: Ensure that the translation files are correctly placed in the appropriate directory. They should typically be located in
wp-content/languages/plugins/
.
- Re-save Permalinks: Sometimes, simply re-saving your permalinks can help refresh the settings. Go to Settings → Permalinks and click on Save Changes without making any changes.
- Clear Cache: If you are using a caching plugin, clear your site cache to ensure that the latest changes are reflected.
- Check for Conflicts: Disable other plugins temporarily to see if there is a conflict affecting the translations.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, we recommend replying to this ticket with your site URL and any additional details about your setup. A human agent from our support team will then be able to assist you further.
Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention!
I have already done this, but it still doesn’t work. I tried placing “rank-math-zh_CN.po”,“rank-math-zh_CN.mo”,“rank-math-zh_CN.l10n.php” in all three of these paths.
wp-content/languages/loco/plugins/rank-math-zh_CN.po
wp-content/plugins/seo-by-rank-math/languages/rank-math-zh_CN.po
wp-content/languages/plugins/rank-math-zh_CN.po
Hello,
Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.
Can you please revert to a previous version and see if this fixes the issue? You can follow this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/version-control/
Also, please head over to the Update page of your WordPress dashboard (WordPress > Dashboard > Updates) and click the Update Translations:

After that, clear your page caches and see if the translations are updated.
Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you for your reply, but the issue still hasn’t been resolved. Other plugins I translated using the “Loco Translate Plugin” (such as “Elementor”) all work properly, and these translations were also done via “Loco Translate”.
I searched Google for issues related to “Rankmath” translation and found that many people have encountered the same problem as me. It seems the issue lies in the fact that “Rankmath” has not integrated the language pack. Could you fix this problem in the next version??
Hello,
Sorry about that. The issue isn’t occurring from our end, so we would like to check this further on your setup.
However, it seems that you already marked this ticket as “Resolved”. Do you still need our assistance regarding this issue?
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
