Target tag with image reference is being added to links

    Links on this client site have a target added to them. You can see this in the footer links on the homepage. It’s adding the client logo as a target to every link, which is causing an SEO error because that makes the tap targets to close. Is there a place where this can be set globally or as a default? Maybe we’ve inadvertently set it. Thanks in advance for you help

    Follow-up: These footer links are placed through footer widgets and are populated by “navigation Menu” widgets.

    Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.
