Tag indexing issue

    Hi
    Recently I used Rank Math in my site. After few days I have seen indexing issue in my search console. In coverage section Seems 100 warning which indicates my all tag I used in my post got indexed even I used noindex setting in my setting of a rank math admin.

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

    Please check the individual tags settings by going to the tag > SEO settings > Advanced Tab > Ensure that the noindex checkbox is checked.

    Do note that some options are only available when you enable the Advanced Mode in the Rank Math dashboard:

    Then, exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:

    Once done, remove the sitemaps from the Search Console and add sitemap_index.xml again and wait for Google to recrawl the website and the sitemap.

    Hello,

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

    Upon further checking, your robots.txt has the rule to block bots to crawl some of your pages, including the tags.

    Please remove the Disallow: /tag/ line in your robots.txt. Here’s a link on how to edit your robots.txt using Rank Math:

    Also, the sitemap URL that you have is incorrect, which you should update. The correct link for your sitemap is /sitemap_index.xml

    Once done, resubmit your sitemap in your Google Search Console account, and that should fix the issue.
