To remove the prefix “product-tag” head over to WP Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks > Remove “product-tag” from Product tag base option.

When you change the product tag slug to (tags), then technically, the product tag is deleted, and when you visit the old product tag slug, it will either throw 404 or be redirected to the homepage according to your setup.

In Rankmath => general settings => woocommerce, you can remove the base for product categories and products. I would like to do the same for tags. Remove the base of the tags to have a clean url and no more the following url : domain/tag-product/tag. I would like => domain/tag like for products which are domain/product

Unfortunately, Rank Math doesn’t support removing the base /tag from the slug. It will definitely breaks the functionality of your website in multiple ways. i.e. Suppose you have post with the same slug, then your tag URL will not work since, WordPress will give priority to the post first > category > tag. If you somehow manage to do with some plugin. Later if, WordPress changes the functionality of the WordPress. Then you will have no way to redirect those pages back to /tag since all your posts has the same URL structure.
For now you can install other plugin to get your job done.
