Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with the Table of Contents on your posts. It seems that the Table of Contents is not consistently detecting the headings in some of your articles.
Here are a few things you can check to troubleshoot this issue:
-
Headings Structure: Ensure that you are using proper heading tags (H2, H3, etc.) in your posts. The Table of Contents block relies on these headings to generate the list.
-
Settings in TOC Block: Click on the Table of Contents block in your post and navigate to Settings. Check under Block → Settings → EXCLUDE HEADINGS to ensure that no headings are excluded from appearing in the table.

-
Plugin Conflicts: Sometimes, other plugins may conflict with Rank Math. You can refer to our guide on diagnosing plugin conflicts to see if this might be the case.
-
Known Issues: There is a known bug where higher-level headings may disappear if a lower-level heading is added before it. We are working on resolving this in a future update. You can monitor our changelog here for updates.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, please reply to this ticket with the specific URLs of the posts where the Table of Contents is not functioning correctly, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

Hello,
Please try removing and adding the Table of Contents block. Also, ensure that the headings are not excluded from the block settings

If the issue persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.
