Table of Contents has  appended to it

Hello,

The table of contents heading only copies the IDs of the headings added to your content, and the  are indeed present there

In this case, you should get in touch with your theme provider to remove those from every ID heading of your content as Rank Math uses it to show on the Table of Contents block.

Our plugin is showing that data because that’s what the WordPress database has for the headings as you can see from the level 1 heading on the page which has the following markup on the database:

This usually happens when you copy the text from a Word document or other place and it imports hidden characters which in this case is an object replacement character.

One way to get rid of this is to delete the text entirely and rewrite it from scratch without copying it from other sources.

Since our TOC block takes the data from the database it sees this same character and adds it to the TOC entries where it exists.
