Support for FAQ plugins possible in future?

Greetings, please feel free to move this if not applicable for this forum, but I’d like to respectfully ask if you’ll consider an option to support FAQ plugins in addition to the Blocks Editor for building FAQs with the associated FAQ Schema for better SEO?

I use a terrific plugin called Arconix FAQ that creates a CPT for each individual FAQ and a shortcode to display all (or by groups) on a Page using some nice jQuery effects for showing/hiding the answers to each question. This means that each individual FAQ Post could (or should?) be marked with FAQ Schema but I would prefer an easier way to set FAQ Schema for the Page that displays all – I can do the method suggested by your Knowledgebase article (Saijo George’s FAQPage JSON-LD Schema Generator) but naturally that requires updating (and remembering to, LOL) every time we add a new FAQ CPT, since the Page constructs them dynamically by looping thru the CPT.

Any thoughts on supporting FAQ plugins or maybe just FAQs as custom post types? I realize that could get rather complicated, but I would love some other workaround to using the Block Editor to create FAQs….we use Classic Editor on our sites because our writers all hate the Block Editor (sadly).

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

First of all, thank you for your message. I am not sure about understanding really well your questions, since you could use any FAQ system, they will just add the FAQ schema so the only thing to take care of is to not have also the FAQ Block used by Rank Math (to avoid duplicated FAQ Schema).

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hi Alberto,

I know my question confused you, but your answer helped me to clarify what I need to do, so thank you.

I checked the plugin we use for FAQs along with about a half-dozen other similar plugins, and none have any information or documentation about the Schema so my best guess is that they don’t add it, neither for the individual (CPT) Posts nor the Page that displays all FAQs.

SO for now adding it using the methods outlined in your tutorial is the best option.

And I realize after posting my question that it would be enormously difficult to add support in RankMath given the variety of ways that these plugins operate – it would be better if they would handle that.

I did manage to add the correct code to our FAQ page, so I’m leaving things as is, but the minute I need to add another Q to our FAQs I’ll switch to the easier way shown in your tutorial (using the Block Editor to construct a Page) rather than relying on plugins or CPTs.

Thank you for the reply, no followup necessary, I’m closing this. 🙂
