  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with your website’s ranking. There are several factors that could contribute to a sudden drop in rankings, especially in specific regions like the USA. Here are some potential reasons:

    1. Algorithm Updates: Google frequently updates its algorithms, which can affect how websites rank in search results. If your site was impacted by a recent update, it might explain the drop in rankings. You can check if your traffic drop correlates with any algorithm updates by referring to our guide on Google Algorithm Updates.

    2. Content Quality: Ensure that your content remains high-quality and relevant. Google prioritizes content that is useful and engaging for users. If your content has become outdated or less relevant, it may affect your rankings.

    3. Regional Targeting: If your website is primarily targeting a US audience, ensure that your settings reflect this. Check your SEO settings in Rank Math to confirm that you are targeting the correct region.

    4. Technical Issues: Sometimes, technical issues such as site speed, mobile-friendliness, or security problems can impact rankings. Use tools like Google Search Console to identify any errors or issues that may be affecting your site.

    5. Penalties: If your site has been penalized by Google for any reason (e.g., using black hat SEO tactics), it could lead to a drop in rankings. Review Google’s quality guidelines to ensure compliance.

    6. Indexation Issues: Check if your pages are still indexed by Google. You can use the Index Status report in Rank Math’s Analytics to see if there are any issues with your pages being indexed.

If you continue to experience issues, we recommend replying to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern, and we hope to help you resolve it soon!

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Rank Math support.

The sudden drop in your website’s ranking might be due to an algorithm update or a manual action. To check for manual actions, please review your Google Search Console. For issues related to algorithm updates, you can refer to this guide on how to recover from such updates. You can also find information on how to track Google core updates here.

Also, we checked your website on Google, and can confirm it is still indexed and appears in the US News section:

Please carefully read the question before writing answers. I know my articles was indexing. Read the question carefully…

I kindly request you to remove the shared video that displayed my site as I intend to keep it private.

Additionally, I would like to clarify that there is no manual action taken, and no Google update has affected my site.

Please guide me on how to set geo-targeting in Rank Math. Thank you for your understanding.

    Hello,

We apologize for that, the video has been removed.

Please note that Rank Math (or any other SEO plugin) cannot control where your website is ranked. Google determines this, and it mostly uses information from your content and keywords.

That said, you can also try using the Local SEO feature to optimize your structured data for a specific country.
