Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Your sitemap seems to be leading to 404. If you have any caching plugin on your site, please exclude your sitemap URLs from being cached then do the following:
1. Head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks
Hit the save button once.
2. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings
Hit the save button once.
3. Head to your GSC and remove any submitted sitemap then resubmit only the main sitemap index file(sitemap_index.xml). Give it sometime to crawl and update.
That should fix the issue.
If it doesnβt, please do let us know so we can look at this further.
Are you sure this response is for us? we are taking about instant indexing and our sitemap do not give 404:

Hello,
That is not the correct sitemap URL, this one is:
https://www.bergaag.com/sitemap_index.xml
It looks like you are not using the Rank Math sitemaps any longer.
we never did… we only use instant indexing and that is the plugin we have an issue with…
Hello Helene,
Please note that the instant indexing API is only recommended to be used on live streaming and job posting websites: https://developers.google.com/search/apis/indexing-api/v3/quickstart
For other sites, Google mainly uses the sitemap content to crawl and update your site data. You will need to check with your sitemap plugin support on this.
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
