Submitted URL marked ‘noindex’ (Coverage Issue on Search Console)

#24729
  • Hi, I love the RankMath plugin and recently I have moved from Yoast to RankMath.

Now all of sudden I get to see that all my web pages are showing an error but I am not able to understand why so. This is a woocommerce powered service-based website and I have selected Product as my product pages schema.

Kindly check the attached files and help me understand and fix this issue as it is hurting my business due to bad SEO impact.

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

Please check the page source of the URLs in questions. Check if there is a “noindex” robots tag in there.

Then, determine if it is a post, a page, a category, or a tag archive.

Once you determine what type of URLs are set to index, check their settings at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta.

    https://i.rankmath.com/ApCKiM

Check each tab and ensure the settings are what you want them to be.

Do note that sometimes it is good to have certain links set as noindex. This is true, especially for the “Misc. Pages”, “Authors”, and “Tags”. Ideally, you don’t want them to be indexable because that might create duplicate content issues and dilute down your website’s authority.

If the pages set as noindex are amongst the pages I mentioned above; you can ignore them or make them indexable using the provided options.

If you see noindex only on individual pages or posts, you can check the Advanced Tab of that post/page and select the “Index” option:

I hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hi Todd,

All of my Pages & Products are set as the ‘index’ in the RankMath settings as well as in the page level settings.

& I know which pages I need to keep no index activated as also suggested by you.

I am an advanced WordPress user and I run 100s of websites but I am only facing problems with this particular site.

Just to inform you, all the pages and products that are in this no index error list on the search console are already included on the sitemap on the search console successfully.

I think there is some other reason occurring this issue.

Kindly help me fix the problem asap.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I checked one of the URLs in your screenshots by typing it in the browser manually:
    null

Sure enough, it is not set as noindex.

You can verify from 3rd party websites as well:
    null

Please disregard the “error”. It seems most definitely to be wrong.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

But how can you say that tool you checked on is 100 accurate when Google is showing that my pages has No Index Tag and I myself can see that on the source code?

    Please help me fix this.

    Hello,

    Hi,

I manually checked each page and I don’t see the noindex tag. How are YOU checking?

You can have it checked from external sources too.

In any case, as we mentioned the crawl report on Google as per your screenshot is very old.

As per Screaming Frog, these are ALL the noindex pages on your website:
    null

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
