Submitted URL marked ‘noindex’

    Hi,

    My Google Search console is giving me two errors (under the Coverage section). Both are related to the same problem which is “Submitted URL marked ‘noindex’”. I added the two pages affected by this issue in the “Sensitive Data” input field, so you can see which are the ones affected. The thing is I’ve got both of these pages marked as “Index” in the Robots Meta in the advanced settings for each page. So I’m very confused about why this is happening and I will appreciate your help.

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    I have just inspected your pages and can confirm that they have been set to index. This seems like a false positive that could be resulting from your page cache.
    Please purge your site cache and then use the URL inspection tool on the search console to check if this is resolved.

    Thank you for your reply Michael. Much appreciated.

    I have done what you suggested but I still get the same two pages with the error “Submitted URL marked ‘noindex’” inside the Coverage section of my Google search console. I have also noticed that if a do a search of the word “noindex” inside the source code of both of the two pages I can find no index tags (not sure if this has anything to do with this, but just thought It’s worth mention).

    Hello,

    The two lines you found on your source code with “no-index” are just part of the options in the Rank Math plugins settings in the admin bar at the top side.

    If you check the source code of that page without being logged on the website, you won’t find those two lines of code.

    About the pages being no-index, I have checked the URLs and they are set as index so you just need to wait for Google to crawl your website again and then Google Search console should update removing those errors from the panel.
