Hi, I’m also having problems with the Noindex TAG on Google Search console. The affected pages are all ticked Index on the RankMath plugin. I have performed the indexing test of the pages affected by the problem and they are not actually indexed. It is interesting to note that only some pages are affected by the problem, such as some “categories”, and the “E-commerce” pages such as the “shopping cart, personal account and checkout”. How can I fix the RankMath plugin?

Salve, anche io sto riscontrando problemi con il TAG Noindex su Google Search console. Le pagine interessate sono tutte spuntate Index sul plugin RankMath. Ho effettuato il Test di indicizzazione delle pagine interessate dal problema ed effettivamente non risultano indicizzate. E’ interessante notare che solo alcune pagine sono interessate dal problema, come ad esempio alcune “categorie”, e la pagine del “E-commerce” tipo il “carrello, l’account personale e la cassa”. Come si può risolvere il problema con il plugin RankMath?

@Ben, Could you please share some of the affected URLs and screenshots in sensitive section of the issue as seen on your GSC
You can also test your URLs here https://smallseotools.com/meta-tags-analyzer/ to confirm they are actually not set to noindex.
Please note that the check out, cart and myaccount pages are by default set to noindex and the robots meta in Rank math settings does not change this. The settings is set so because these pages don’t need to be indexed as they are dynamic and contain different content for different users. If you wish to index them you may have to disable Rank math-WooCommerce integration by disabling WooCommerce module in Rank math dashboard

The issues I see there are just alerting about you have those pages set as no-index, which if it is what you want you can just ignore them.
About all those pages, a few of them are WooCommerce pages like account and cart. Those pages are always set as no-index since you don’t want them indexed on Google.
About the other URLs, they are categories. Keep in mind Rank Math set as no-index categories without posts/products added, to avoid being penalized by Google due to thin content. Once you add posts/products, they are automatically set as index.

Please remove all the submitted sitemap from your GSC and resubmit your main sitemap alone(sitemap_index.xml) and give it sometime for google to crawl your URLs.
If the issue persists you can try and use a 3rd party sitemap plugin to confirm. Just make sure you have disabled the Sitemap module of Rank Math in WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Dashboard when using a 3rd party sitemap plugin.
