HI,
I need help with telephonic/ or mail-based instructions on how I can set up rankmath for automatic updates of sitemap to search engines.
Also, do I need to set up accounts for each of google, bing, Yandex…webmaster and submit manually initially? Or is this done by rankmath automatically?
If yes, how many search engines does RM submit to automatically?
Please guide
Thanks,
Veena

Hello
Thank you for contacting Rank Math.
If you’re using the Analytics feature of Rank Math, Rank Math will automatically submit the sitemap to Google Search Console. You don’t need to manually submit your sitemap as we walked you through in the previous method. You can learn more about it here : https://rankmath.com/kb/submit-sitemap-to-google/
To connect with Google services, please follow this article: https://rankmath.com/kb/connect-your-google-account/
Regarding other search engines you’ll have to submit the sitemap manually.
You can follow this article on how to create sitemap : https://rankmath.com/kb/configure-sitemaps/Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Thank you.
Hi Sandeepan,
So to summarise Rankmath integrates only with Google currently.
For Bing, Yandex etc, we need to create separate webmaster accounts and submit them manually ?
BAsically copy paste the sitemap generated by Rankmath and submit to other engines right?
Also, each time I make a change to my website or URl’s , I need to create a new sitemap at Rankmath and resubmit to the other engines too ?
Regards,
Veena

Yes, that’s correct you would need to create your webmaster account with other search engines to be able to submit the sitemap. Sitemap is automatically created by Rank Math, hence, whenever you make the changes the sitemap also get updated accordingly.
About the issue with sitemap: would you please your website URL so that we can check on the issue further.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you
Hi Sandeepan,
Thanks for the guidance. Apart from the file error, we want to know how and where to use this location map effectively for local ranking purposes ?
Our site is http://www.animaster.com and this is the file : https://www.animaster.com/locations.kml
The Location sitemap set up for local seo, submitted to google is returning an error as below. Same with BING, unable to read the file.

Hello,
Thanks for the guidance. Apart from the file error, we want to know how and where to use this location map effectively for local ranking purposes ?
This is a sitemap file that improves the Local SEO. We generate the local sitemap with a KML file inside it. This offers an opportunity to express the business’s geographic information in a way that is easily understood by applications so we advise keeping this sitemap if you have enabled the Local SEO module.
Your Sitemap does not appear to be in a supported format. Please ensure it meets our Sitemap guidelines and resubmit.
Checking the sitemap pages on your website, they seem to be loading perfectly fine.
Please try following the steps below:
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/3. Add the filter code to your theme’s functions.php file:
add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');
You may also follow this guide on applying filters to your website.
4. Remove all your sitemaps again from your Google Search Console and resubmit only the primary one (
sitemap_index.xml
).Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.
