  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for the delay and for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

It seems that there’s a redirect issue with your author page. Did you set up your site on a staging environment first before pushing it to a live site?

However, please follow these steps for initial troubleshooting:
    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/xXXhDt

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server.

If the issue still persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

Thank you, and we really look forward to helping you.

I opened a new subdomain. I installed default wordpress. https://egitim.wolinka.com.tr/

I just installed Rank Math plugin as plugin.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Thank you for that additional information, and apologies for the delay.

I was able to replicate the issue with the author’s URL in your sitemap. The issue seems to be stemming when the Author Archives is enabled in Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Authors. I’ve already raised this to our dev team for further investigation.

However, it seems that it only happens to that specific author. You can check the Rank Math user in your author sitemap and it’s working fine.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

Yes, there is a problem when I change the permalink.

    Hello,

We have forwarded this issue to our dev team. You should hear a feedback or a solution from them very soon.

We appreciate your time and patience with this one.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

Our dev team is already checking this issue and will get back to you shortly. We really appreciate your kind patience regarding this matter.

Meanwhile, have you already tried re-creating the user and see if the issue still persists? We have tried this on our website but couldn’t replicate this issue.

This seems to be happening on that specific user only.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

Yes, it is a problem only when you change the permalink. There is no problem when the username link is standard.

    Hello,

Thanks for getting back to us.

The issue on your website is specific for that user. The other user present can have the permalink structure changed without affecting the main domain URL.

This would indicate that the user you are referring to is corrupted and you would need to re-create it to fix this situation.

I would recommend creating a new user, transferring over the posts’ ownership to that user, and only then delete the corrupt profile.

Hope this helps solve your issue.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

Thank you, this way the problem was solved.

    Hello,

    Thank you for the update.

We are glad it worked for you and this issue is already resolved.

If you have any other concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime by creating a new ticket to assist you further with anything else.

    Thank you.
