Website: https://lovethatrv.com
We enabled the setting “Strip Category Base” as explained here: https://rankmath.com/kb/general-settings/
Old structure: https://lovethatrv.com/category/class/5th-wheel/
New structure (after enabling the setting): https://lovethatrv.com/class/5th-wheel/That’s exactly what we wanted. Shorter, cleaner URLs.
Problem is we have a page with URL slug: https://lovethatrv.com/class
But when we enable the setting to strip “/category/” that page now becomes the category archive and the page content turns into a blog archive instead of a page.We want https://lovethatrv.com/class to maintain its static page content
Is there a way to remove “/category/” but not overwrite the page content on “/class/” ?
We could change the static page slug to something unique, but that’s not an ideal solution.
