strange referer 404

    Hello,

    I have advanced 404 monitoring on for my site estrocare.nl. I am seeing some strange things here – at least for me they are – and I was hoping you can put my mind at ease.

    For the past few days in the field ‘referer’ there are urls sometimes popping up – just a few – that are called ‘estrocare.nl/simple.php5.suspected’ and ‘estrocare.nl/blackhat.php.suspected’.

    I have never seen anything like this on our website which has been live for about a year now and this sounds a bit suspicious. I have googled and messages regarding malware pop up. But then again, it is a 404 message so there may not be a threat at all. I am confused I guessed and am looking for some input ..

    Please note that we only report the 404s. We do not have information on how or why they are generated.

    It is possible that these are bots generating those errors.

    You can fix these errors by redirecting them to a related page on your website:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/fix-404-errors/

    Or, you can add them to the exclusion list at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > 404 Monitor > Exclude Paths
