Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
You can install and configure Rank math on both your staging site and live site. That way, any settings made on your staging site through Rank math on your pages/posts would still reflect on your live site.
The only basic difference would probably be the indexing option. You can easily set all of your staging sites using the WordPress option to discourage search engines from indexing your site in WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Reading.
Other than this, you should treat the settings on your staging site the same as you would on your live site
