    Hello, I’m using Rankmath on my Website and I want to deindex the categories as I’m facing multiple URL issues due to which 404 error is accuring in Google. Kindly help me.

    Hello @Emma Stone,

    You can set the categories to noindex by going to Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Categories > Enable Category Archives Robots Meta > Check noindex checkbox.

    It shows me at the moment it’s no-index. then I again refresh it and check it next day. goto the advance section below and then the index box is filled. why this happens sir? is there some bug or anything else virus? is someone trying to attempt hacking on my site😓☹

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

    I’ve separated your concern to a new ticket so we can assist you accordingly.

    Your category pages are already set to noindex from the page’s source code. If the index checkbox is getting enabled on the Advanced tab, head over to Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Post: Categories and ensure that the default robots meta is set to noindex

    Noindex

    Once done, clear your website’s cache and check again.
