For the auto-suggestions, we rely on the autocomplete feature of Google. So, the keyword has nothing to do with the language of your website but with the keyword you are using and what Google thinks is a set of relevant keywords to the focus keyword you are entering.

Your screencast perfectly illustrates my issue and thanks for understanding this.
Can you please redo it with the FRENCH word “stress”.
You will see there will be mainly proposals in English.
How do filter those proposals so that Google resultats are only displayed for FRENCH sites/keywords.
I can come up with tons of examples.
What if I want FRENCH proposals for the keyword Apple (yes, the brand).
What about the keyword BRAS, which means arm in French and has nothing to do with women’s b….
What about GRAND, meaning BIG?
Etc.
There is definitely something RankMath should do about this. Appply a filter by language…

You can use https://www.loom.com/ to record a screencast and https://imgbb.com/ for screenshot then share their URLs in the sensitive section so only the staff can access.
Unfortunately there is currently no way we can filter the suggestions. As my colleague @Todd explained, we do rely on Google’s auto complete feature. For the words you have identified, if you could head to Google search and type the same, English suggestions would still appear even if the language is set to french.
Please note the autocomplete feature is just to give you suggestions of common keywords in google to help you in phrasing your own keyword.

Have you implemented any algo behind the autocomplete so that it provides the seemingly best keyword to go for? The ones that rank best? Is that what Google is offering since the autocomplete is based on it?
In other words, how not to go wrong with this?

We do not use any algo, we provide the same data that Google provides us.
Just like any other keyword tool, use it for reference only.
If you want extensive keyword research tools, you should look into getting a subscription ahrefs.com
