    Hello,

    I have the same problem. 404 error status after sending url to google for publish.

    I have seen in my google cloud https://console.developers.google.com/flows/enableapi?apiid=indexing.googleapis.com&credential=client_key This error when I reload the page: The link that followed was not configured correctly. The required URL parameter apiid is missing. If you’re trying to get started with an API, you can check out the getting started guide for APIs

    This warning error is new. It appeared suddenly after the google api updating in september.

    I think the issue is related to this: rpc GetUrlNotificationMetadata(GetUrlNotificationMetadataRequest) returns (UrlNotificationMetadata)

    With this method, you can obtain metadata about a web document, although you can only send queries to URLs that have already been seen in successful Indexing API notifications, taking into account every last UrlNotification resource received through this API.

    Authorization permissions
    The following OAuth permission is required:

    https://www.googleapis.com/auth/indexing

    Could you fix / update the plugin, please? after the google update it was very useful.
    My job offers are being indexed, but it takes many days, it is not like before.

    Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

    The 404 error shown in our Google Instant Indexing was already addressed and we have released a new version of the plugin. Please make sure you have updated the plugin.

    As for the API error you encountered, this seems to be a permission issue, please follow the step from this guide to help you with that: https://rankmath.com/blog/google-indexing-api/#403-permission-denied

    Thank you Jeremy, I have the last version of the pluguin and email of the account project as owner in my google search console, but the issue persist. It is not a 403 error permission.

    Everything was working fine. This error started suddenly.

    Hello,

    If you are getting the 404 error it means that the URLs are not in the Indexing API. Since the API is only for two types of websites (job posting and live streams) and goes through rigorous spam detection due to recent changes in Google, it’s much more difficult to get URLs into the API.

    So, unless you have one of the website types we mentioned and the content is unique, you won’t be able to use this feature consistently and you shouldn’t as the API was never intended for it as mentioned in our own documentation.

    The bottom line is that our submissions to the API are working fine, but if the pages are not accepted into it because of guidelines issues, there’s nothing we can do.

    The Instant Indexing plugin was put through rigorous testing and we can see the submissions are working, but we cannot force Google to accept them as mentioned multiple times before.
