Span used within H2 tag to format – Rankmath not recognising Keyword

    On the site we have used span to simply change part of the H2 title.
    However Rankmath is suggesting that the main keyword we are using (in this case ‘Earned Recognition’) was not in a H2 tag or similar.

    Rankmath seems to be dismissing the span tags. Will search engines do the same or is this a slight glitch with Rankmath

    Thanks for getting in touch with us.

    We are currently looking for the exact match only and we ignore common tags between the words in a focus keyword like bold, italic, etc.. but we do not ignore the span tags. This is something we are working on improving.

    We would really appreciate your patience in this matter.
