Spaces between Variables in Meta Title. - Support

I want to display the current month and year in the meta title as following:
(September/2020).

Unfortunately the shortcodes do not work if I do not seperate them with an empty space.
So this doesnt work:
(%currentmonth%/%currentyear%)

Is there any way to use variables without using empty spaces between them?

Thats the result I get using %currenttime(M/Y)%.

Thats the result I get using %currentdate%.

Both options do not work in my case.
Can you help me out further?
