  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the redirects not working as expected. It sounds frustrating that they were functioning correctly and then suddenly stopped, redirecting to the homepage instead.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Check for Broad Redirects in Rank Math

It’s possible that there might be broad redirects set up in Rank Math that are affecting these specific URLs. Please check if any of the redirects you created might be misconfigured. You can do this by navigating to Rank Math → Redirections and reviewing the settings for each redirect.

    More than one redirection

    2. Review .htaccess File

Another potential cause could be rules in your .htaccess file that might be conflicting with your redirects. You can check this by going to WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Edit .htaccess. Look for any additional redirection rules that may have been added and remove them if necessary.

    edit .htaccess

    3. Clear Cache

If you are using any caching plugins or server-side caching, try clearing the cache. Sometimes, cached versions of your site can cause issues with redirects.

    4. Check for Plugin Conflicts

Lastly, ensure that there are no other plugins that might be interfering with the redirection process. Temporarily disabling other plugins can help identify if there’s a conflict.

If after checking these points the issue persists, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further. Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention!

    Hello,

For troubleshooting, please clear your website and server’s cache.

Then, check if the Redirect Attachments option is enabled on your site, and you have a media or attachment URL with the same slug.

You can temporarily disable that option and check again the redirects.

If that is the case, you can re-upload the media with a different file name or at least rename the attachment URL to a different slug.

Let us know how this goes.

    Hello,
