  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with your blog pages missing from the sitemap. It can be frustrating when some of your content is not being indexed as expected.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

    1. Check for Custom Canonicals: If you have set custom canonical URLs for your posts, they may not appear in the sitemap. Rank Math includes a self-referencing canonical by default, so removing any custom canonicals might help ensure all posts are included in the sitemap.

    2. Review Robots.txt File: Ensure that your robots.txt file does not contain any rules that might be blocking the sitemap or specific pages. You can check this in the Rank Math settings under Rank Math SEO → General Settings → robots.txt.

    3. Internal Linking: Make sure that all your blog pages are linked internally. Pages without internal links can become orphan pages, which may affect their crawlability and indexing.

    4. Sitemap Submission: Verify that you have submitted the correct sitemap URL to Google Search Console. The correct URL for your sitemap should be https://yourdomainname/sitemap_index.xml.

    5. Crawl Budget Issues: If your site has many low-quality pages, it might affect the crawl budget, causing valuable pages to be overlooked. Focus on improving the quality of your content and internal linking structure.

If you continue to experience issues after trying these steps, please reply to this ticket with more details, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

The “Crawled – currently not indexed” means Google has crawled your page but has not indexed it yet. Finding a certain number of URLs with this status is entirely normal because Google does not index all the URLs we submit.

This isn’t an error, but there are some reasons for excluding the pages from its index.

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.
