This SEO Analysis on my site is confusing?
My report says that ‘Some images on your page have no alt attribute’ on 31 pages? All with the error:-
I have checked all the images on the home page and found no images without an ‘Alt’ tag?
Could you please advise me on how to get this fixed?
My score is 77/100, what is the average value of most sites?
Thanks
Paul

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for the delay and for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.
Could you please check the affected URL/s using our External SEO Analyzer and see if the issue is already fixed there?
If so, please head over to Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools > and click the
Clear SEO Analysis
andRemove Transients
buttons to flush the SEO Analysis cache
Please note that some options are only available when you enable the Advanced Mode in Rank Math. If it’s not showing, you must have chosen to use the Easy Mode. Please follow the steps in this link to switch to Advanced Mode:
https://rankmath.com/kb/advanced-mode/Once done, clear your website’s cache and Start again the sitewide analysis in Rank Math > SEO Analysis.
If the issue still persists, please also share the affected URL to check further.
I hope that helps.
Thank you, and looking forward to your update.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply, all of the messages with no alt tag do not show an image, they just say that they are all missing.
Does the SEO Analysis only give the Keywords, SEO Description , H1 Heading, H2 Headings SEO analysis of the H2 headings on your page, Image ALT Attributes for the homepage?
Thanks,
Paul
Hello,
Thank you for the update.
Please share the URL so we can also check on our end. You can add it in the sensitive data section
It is completely secure, and only our support staff has access to that section.
Does the SEO Analysis only give the Keywords, SEO Description , H1 Heading, H2 Headings SEO analysis of the H2 headings on your page, Image ALT Attributes for the homepage?
Yes, the Basic SEO Analysis runs only on your homepage, while the other runs on your whole website. Here’s a link for your reference:
https://rankmath.com/kb/seo-analysis/#basic-seoI hope that helps.
Thank you, and looking forward to your update.
The page that’s showing 31 missing Alt tags is my homepage http://www.CecilsMensHub.com
There are no images on the page that are missing them?
Hello,
Thanks for getting back to us.
It seems that your theme or some other plugin is adding image tags on your website without actually including any images on them or any other information:
Our SEO Analyzer runs through your HTML and sees those image tags without any ALT tags and points to the error you see on your SEO Analysis.
Hope this helps clarify your doubts.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
Thanks, I will investigate what plugin/themes is doing this?
Hello,
Thank you for keeping in touch with us.
This would be your currently active theme which you can find under WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Themes. If you are able to determine your active theme, please contact the theme author and ask them to fix it.
Let us know how that goes. We are looking forward to helping you.
Hi,
It’s not a theme. it’s a Plugin from Smash Baloon for FB feeds, I saw from the screenshot that you supplied it is from this Plugin. these are now duplicating.
I have contacted support at Smash Balloon.
Thanks

Hi, I have heard back from my Smash Balloon plugin, they have advised me to change one of the settings, which I have. I can’t see the on my homepage anymore, I still have the error on my SEO Analysis, I have done as you have suggested.
Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools > and click the Clear SEO Analysis and Remove Transients
But, the errors are still there, and have now increased to 78?
What is the next option?
Thanks,
Regards, Paul
Hello,
Thanks for getting back.
I checked your site and the
img
tags are still being added to your page:
Please check with the support team of the plugin that is causing this and inform them that their solution hasn’t worked and has increased the number of tags.
Let us know how that goes. We are looking forward to your update.
Hi Jaideep,
Thanks for the reply.
What page is this from, I am looking at the source for my homepage and can’t find the code in question?
Thanks, Paul
Hello,
Thank you for getting back to us.
Your homepage now appears to be fine as I can not see the image class is added on the page source. I have even inspected it and noticed that it has the alt attribute on all images.
However, some other pages do still have this class which is why it could be happening. Please check a page such as
/mens-gatherings-testimonials/
and/mens-gatherings-faq/
Please remove this across all your pages or content you know the plugin is adding this class. That way you will have solved this issue.
Hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
