I checked out the two other recent topics opened on this subject, but it didn’t help.
I don’t set up a different image for Facebook and Twitter, I just expect them to pull the featured image when someone is sharing the post. If I go in the source, in the RankMath section, the og:image is no longer dynamic content, but static and defaulting to the one entered in the Titles & Meta settings for the entire site.
As I have twitter and Facebook shares automated via IFTTT because I am currently traveling a lot, so you can see how this caused a big mess for me in a short time.
(I was using W3 Total Cache with GZip compression way before this and it used to work even, so it must be something else.)
Can you please help me fix this fast?

Hi. You checked for the home page, which doesn’t have a featured image and it’s ok to pull the default one. Please try doing that for a blog post. And also check twitter, it’s not just facebook causing issues. Those still don’t pull the featured image and use the default one, which isn’t ok.

I’ve been using the same image size for over a year and it worked perfectly until recently. And if it’s not right, why is your plugin showing the preview as it should, then sharing it wrong?
Also, why does this post (and the ones before it) work with the featured image (same size) when shared: https://www.the-travel-bunny.com/st-kitts-scenic-railway/
But all the posts after that no longer pick up the featured image? I haven’t done anything different on my side.
How can I change this to work again, without editing by hand hundreds of posts & pages in several languages? It’s horrible that this feature stopped working as it did with your plugin. And I’m guessing it’s more to image size since on some pages that works just fine, yet on newer ones it doesn’t. And there are also other threads open regarding the errors of social media sharing (one mentioning 3 different sites).
Please help me get this to work as it did a few weeks ago with the same image sizes as before. I mean, even on your site, you don’t mention a mandatory image size, and you can say you can use smaller images, too -> https://rankmath.com/kb/meta-box-social-tab/.
PS. Also, it seems you deactivated my social sharing plugin and left it that way 🙂
Hi. Thank you, I will do that for the featured image. But can you please edit what you changed when you logged in because ever since then I can no longer upload webp files without adding an extra function? And I don’t want to add that extra function to fix something that wasn’t supposed to be edited in the first place.
I need to add webp for the rest of my article images directly instead of paying for my cache plugin to convert them after upload 🙂
