    Good evening,

Just wondering why when I edit the snippet for my website page and change the image that nothing changes and the image selected remains to be too big for the social media shared space.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Please ensure that your images are using the recommended image size. Recommended image size is 1200 x 630 pixels.

Could you please also check the image file type you are using? The image file type should be one of the following based on OpenGraph standards:

    image/jpeg
    image/gif
    image/png

If the issue still persists, we might need to take a closer look at the affected URL and the admin settings as well. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress login in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

I have updated the image to be used for just the home page but still whenever I share it on social media it’s using an older image and not the one I want it to use.

Not sure if it’s a cache problem, I have deleted/flushed that a few times.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your reply.

I can see the same image on the website and inside the Facebook debugger tool. I have shared the screenshot link inside the sensitive data section. Please kindly check.

Could you confirm if that is the result you were expecting?

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Correct, that is how I want it to look like when sharing.

It seems to work now. Did you need to change anything to make it work?

    Hello,

    Thank your for your reply.

The cache was coming from Facebook, incase you want to see how your webpage will appear on facebook you can use the facebook debugger tool here:
    https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/

It will you you an option to scrape the URL.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Can you add the Facebook meta tags into RankMath SEO stuff?

    <meta name=”facebook-domain-verification” content=”dc6zyngf6w902uxr9y09d79zni4u7b” />

    Hello,

Unfortunately, the Facebook Domain Verification option is not available in Rank Math.

You will have to paste this meta tag manually in the header.php file of the theme.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

We are here to assist you.
