Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.
Could you please share an affected URL to check? Also, please share the image URL you are trying to use for your social image/OpenGraph.
You can add them in the sensitive data section

It is completely secure, and only our support staff has access to that section.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hey Reinelle,
I am not sure what you meant by affected URL.
For that reason, I have just included the live URL to one of the posts I am experiencing this problem. I have also included a URL to the image I am trying to as the social share image in the edit snippet.
Thanks
Hello,
I can check that you are using WEBP images on your site. The Open Graph only supports image/jpeg, image/gif, or image/png.
You can also check this link for the standard image file extensions supported by Open Graph:
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/sharing/webmasters/#images
Please use the supported format to fix the issue.
I hope that helps.
Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.
Yes, you are correct in saying that my website images are webp.
I do that to ensure that the images keep their quality without being heavy.
However, for my social share images, I make sure that the pictures are jpg and are also the correct size(1200X630). My issue is that it works with some of my posts but for others it doesn’t.
So basically, I would click on the add image button in the social share images and select my image and it would show me that my image has been added.
But whenever I publish/update my post and I come back the next day just to check or even minutes are I exit that specific post in the WordPress editor, the image is no longer there.
In fact it’s not just the image that does that. I once had the issue where the keyword would not save but eventually it saved. Or when I was in a post it would show one specific seo score but when I looked at it my posts dashboard it would be different.
You could be asking if I have any other plugins that could be causing this behavior, but rank math is the only SEO plugin I have.
Please help me to fix these inconsistencies.
Hello,
We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
