Snippet preview

    Rank Math free

    Hello,

My snippet preview for RankMath for my pages is showing the title for SEO as the page title, not the seo title that I’ve put in, even though in “titles & meta” I have the single post title and description to be the “%seo_title%” and description. I don’t want my page title to show in SEO, just the SEO title I’ve written.

How do I fix this? I attached some screenshots.

    Thanks!

  • Hello,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

The %seo_title% variable will not work in the SEO title field. That’s the field from where the variable gets its value. It seems like you have another plugin where you are entering the SEO title and description. If the plugin is using a custom field then you can use the %customfield(field_name)% variable to fetch the value from it.

You can also create a custom variable to get the value from the SEO fields and use it in Rank Math’s SEO fields: https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#add-extra-variables

Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.
