Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for the inconvenience caused.
It is possible for Google to not use the meta description you provided:
– The meta description is not relevant or useful (ie, just a collection of keywords).
– The exact same meta description is provided across a large number of pages.
– The meta description doesn’t match what the user is searching for, but other content on the page does.
There is a whole article dedicated to this on SearchEngineJournal:
https://www.searchenginejournal.com/google-offers-suggestions-for-avoiding-meta-description-rewrites/359884/
Here is an example showing Google changes title depending on the keyword used:

The best you can do is optimize your meta tags to try and match the intent of the search/keyword.
Hope that helps. If you have any further question(s), please let us know.
Hi Anas,
Thank you for the quick response.
I should have mentioned it before, I’m referring for snippets on Facebook, not google.
I checked the meta for what you suggested and this is not the case.
As I mentioned before, the snippet was shown on FB before the update.
Any other suggestion?
Hello,
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Could you please share some URLs in the sensitive data section of the affected pages that do not pick the snippets on Facebook?
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
Thank you for following up.
I’ve checked the links in Facebook’s debugger tool, and it seems that they are already fine. Please see the screenshot in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Could you confirm if it’s different from the one you have set up in the social snippet individually? If it’s different, could you also take a screenshot using this tool of the correct meta description?
I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.
The meta description is the same as in the social snippet for both posts.
The thing is that I don’t know if it’s happening in other posts as well, some are showing and some not. But I can’t start posting every single post I have just to check if there’s a problem.
I checked again and it still not showing, please see the screenshot I’m attaching.
Hello,
The description for Facebook sharing is added via og:description
meta. If you check your page source, this is actually added: <meta property="og:description" content="..."
. Check the screenshot I added in the sensitive section.
I also posted the URL you shared and the description is showing the description fine from my end, check screenshot 2.
Looking forward to helping you
