Snippet edits don’t save

We apologize for the issue you are facing with saving your snippet edits. This can happen due to a few common reasons:

1. Plugin Conflicts

There may be conflicts with other plugins that prevent the SEO Title, Description, and Focus Keyword from being saved. You can check for plugin conflicts by following our guide on plugin conflict.

2. JavaScript-Related Errors

JavaScript errors can also cause issues when saving metadata. You can diagnose these errors by checking the JavaScript Console in your browser. Here’s how to do it in Chrome:

1. Open the Developer Tools by navigating to More Tools → Developer Tools from the Chrome menu or using the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + J (Windows) or Cmd + Option + J (Mac).
   
2. Click on the Console tab to see if there are any errors.
   
3. If you see any errors, note them down as they may indicate what is causing the issue.
   

3. Firewall Blocked Access to the File

If you are using a firewall, it might be blocking access to necessary files for Rank Math. Check if Rank Math is being blocked and whitelist it if necessary. You can refer to our guide on how to whitelist Rank Math files in your firewall settings.

In this case, please check if you are using a Firewall as it may prevent saving the changes.

If you are using a Firewall, please whitelist this route:

/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta
/wp-json/rankmath/v1/saveModule
