Snippet Editor not working

I have installed the RankMath plugin on my WordPress site and am unable to edit the Description field in the snippet editor. It shows a sentence that was pulled from each page, but the text is frozen/locked and I cannot change the wording. I used the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin for Site Health and the problem persists even with the default theme and no other plugins enabled. I look forward to your suggestions to fix this problem.

Jaideep – wow! That was so simple. I feel like a bit of an idiot, but glad that the solution is right there. Wondering if others have this issue as we’re all so used to thing like Word or Email text where we have to delete existing text to replace it? Either way, THANK YOU for your patience and help. I really appreciate it and look forward to working on my SEO.
