Snippet Editor and Focus Keyword Not Saving for Author Users

    When logged in with Administrator privileges, Rank Math saves the information as expected, no problem. However, if a user with Author privileges does the same thing, the information is not saved after clicking Save Draft. It reverts to whatever was there previously.

    We tried using the Rank Math Role Manager to give Authors all available options, but this made no difference.

    The not saving issue seems to be related to the user level.

    Hello,

    Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    We have added the rules to exclude our routes from the firewall. However, this isn’t being applied to some user roles. So you should get in touch with Wordfence or your hosting provider and see how you can apply the rules to all the roles on your website.

    You can also try the learning mode of Wordfence and use the author role while that is enabled so that the plugin can whitelist the routes for that role: https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/learning-mode/

    Thanks for your help. We’re following your advice and have put Wordfence back into ‘learning mode’ while using Rank Math with the Author role. We’ll see whether this does the trick on an ongoing basis once the learning mode period ends.
