Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.
It seems to be working fine on our end:
https://i.rankmath.com/OOzLBe
Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.
To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/
Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
If the issue persists, please record a video screencast using a tool like Loom showing the troubleshooting and edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.
Unfortunately troubleshooting gives no solution. The SEO description is a Latin text, which was originally in the template (and has been changed). When I choose ‘excerpt’, it isn’t an excerpt of the page. Do you know what’s problem? Where do Rank Math pick the Latin text as excerpt?
Hello,
Thank you for keeping in touch with us.
Can you please share your WordPress admin login so we can replicate this issue on end as instructed by my colleague?
We are looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
Thank you for following up.
I’ve tried editing the permalink and the description in one of your pages using Elementor, and it seems that it’s working fine. Please see the screencast in the designated Sensitive Data section. I’ve reverted the changes to that page.
If you’re using the %excerpt%
variable in the description, it will automatically get the first 160 characters in your paragraph, that’s why it is not editable in the edit snippet box. If you want to modify it, you will need to modify the paragraph. Else, you will do it manually by typing a new description.
I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance.
