Slugs conflict

    Hi, I am a website developer, and I am trying RankMath for the first time opposed to Yoast.

    I seem to be having an issue with building a new site WP site. I have only built three pages and I keep running into the same problem, the page name/slugs as the randomly keep changing around. In some instances, a -2 is added, and the page names/slugs swap over so one slug changes over to another slug.

    I have scoured the internet and checked all the recommendations to iron out the conflict, but the issues keep happening.

    Please can you advise me as it the problem is tacking up a lot of my time.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    It happens when you already have the same URL on your website and that’s why WordPress automatically adds -2 in the slug to avoid duplicate URLs.

    We can only suggest you check your website thoroughly to make sure you don’t have a duplicate URL. You can also check on your database and remove the URL from there.
