SKU is not shown in schema if product has variations

Main product’a SKU field is empty because the variations have it. In this situation, the Schema does not show the SKU value. So, Search Console warnings.

We have to enter it as SKUXXX. Is this method valid, or is there a way to show SKU array in Schema, or should we publish the products separately?

This issue goes for the other codes like GTIN, MPN, ISBN etc.

  • Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch and I am extremely sorry about the trouble this might have caused.

I am assuming you are using WooCommerce. Rank Math takes the schema data from your product pages automatically and turns it into Schema-ready content.

Have you added your SKU in WooCommerce as shown below? If you haven’t please do.

For the GTIN, ISBN, MPN issue, you can fix it by adding that to your products using the custom product attribute feature in WooCommere or you can use this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/product-gtin-ean-upc-isbn-for-woocommerce/

If the issues still persist, please some of the URLs so we can check from our end.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
