Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. Iām sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.
I’ve checked your sitemap, and it seems that it is validating fine.
Could you please try removing all your submitted sitemaps and resubmit your main sitemap only? Once done, give Google some time to recrawl your site.
Let us know how this goes.
Thank you.
I removed all the submitted sitemaps and resubmitted my main sitemap which is https://virginsound.com.ng/sitemap_index.xml and I still get the same issue.
Hello,
Can you please follow these steps?
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp
2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/
3. After that, remove all your sitemaps from your GSC and resubmit only the primary sitemap (sitemap_index.xml).
4. If the issue still persists, please add this filter in your active themeās functions.php file:
add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');
Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.
I still experience the same problem after doing all you suggested… I also set the cloudflare page rule to
virginsound.com.ng/*sitemap*
Cache Level: Bypass
Hello,
Please try increasing the number of URLs per sitemap so that the final number of sub-sitemaps is lower to see if that helps Google crawl all the files.
You can set the number of URLs per sitemap to something like 500 and then submit the main sitemap again following this tutorial: https://rankmath.com/kb/submit-sitemap-to-google/
Hope this helps solve your issues.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
I have done this and yet the problem persist… Could there be an issue on my google search engine that’s blocking it?
Some few months back someone hacked my site and added himself as an admin in my google search console and I have removed him, repaired my website and strengthen my account but since then I have been having one issue or another.
Few of my sites post are showing in google serp but they are all the ones of last year December before the japanese keyword hack on my site and those post when I check them out on search console they’re Indexed, but not submitted in sitemap.
Please help me out… It is really affecting my site.
Hello,
I checked the sitemap, Googlebot is not blocking the sitemap.
Indexed, Not Submitted in Sitemap is not an issue, it only means that Google has already indexed the posts but not through the sitemap.
It is possible that Google is crawling your website and indexing the posts through the internal links on your website and not through the sitemap, and as a result, the crawl budget for your website is exhausted and Google is not able to discover the URLs through your sitemap.
Looking forward to helping you.
Is there anything I can do to change that? I mean for them to use my sitemap instead of internal links because none of my post after the hacking this year has been indexed, even after cleaning my site.
And there are some urls some hackers created that are not found on my site about 1,000 links… is there a way I can get rid of those urls google search console, maybe the are part of what is affecting the sitemap reading.
Hello,
Assuming those URLs no longer exist on your website, you would need to give Google some time to recrawl your entire website so those unwanted URLs will go away in your Google Search Console.
I checked your sitemap page and it seems to be loaded just fine and no unwanted URLs there.
Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you on this one.
