Hello,
We apologize for the inconvenience you’ve faced. Thank you for reaching out to us with your questions.
Regarding your first question, Rank Math automatically creates a sitemap of all your posts, including the translated posts/pages created with the Weglot plugin. Each translated post/page is automatically added to your sitemap index available at domain.com/sitemap_index.xml
. If you submitted the main sitemap index to Google or other search engines, you do not need to make any changes, and the translated pages will be automatically picked by the search engines from your sitemap.
As for your second question, the .XML files that Rank Math creates are stored on your website’s server. You can view your XML sitemap by navigating to Rank Math SEO → Sitemap Settings in your WordPress Dashboard. The URL to your XML sitemap will be displayed at the top of the page.
If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to ask.
We’re here to help!

Not the right answer, I request human support 🙂
Hello,
Thank you for your patience.
Unfortunately, you may need to update the filter for every new post as we don’t have a way to generate them automatically.
Also, it is not a must that you have the translated pages in your sitemap. Please note this is perfectly fine and as per guidelines set by Google.
Currently, Google allows 2 methods for the translated pages:
1. To generate separate Sitemaps for all the languages.
2. To generate a single Sitemap and add hreflang tag on the respective pages.
That is what Rank Math follows and this method is approved by Google.
2. Please note that Rank Math’s sitemaps are generated virtually/dynamically, so you won’t find any XML sitemaps in your website files or directory.
Looking forward to helping you.
I understand, thank you for your answer.
