Hello,
Thanks for contacting us, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Can you please check the sitemap section on GSC to see if you see any error is appearing there? If yes, please share the error with us here or you may also share a screenshot of that using a tool like imgbb.
If not, please try removing and re-submitting sitemap_index there to see if the issue resolves for you.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.

No error indeed. I have resubmitted many times before. No outcome. The first sitemap that you can see – discovered links are 120 before a months. Now that is 0. And other sitemaps are showing old records.

Hello,
Thank you for the additional details.
Google does not always crawl the website through sitemaps. The URL may have been found through your website link structure. You can refer to the following article which quotes a Google employee on the issue: https://www.seroundtable.com/google-impossible-to-index-the-whole-web-28597.html
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have questions.
Will Google fix it , if I request? Or will the posts be never in the sitemaps?
Hello,
Your posts and pages are already added in your sitemap, and they are already set to index correctly.
The 0 Discovered URLs that you see in Google Search Console for your sitemap means that the URLs in the sitemap were already found by Googlebot by other means instead of via the sitemap.
The number of URLs on the sitemap section only shows the ones that are being fetched from the sitemap, but since Google uses other methods on top of the sitemap for indexing, it’s discovering your website via those other methods.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
Thank you for all of your kind replies.
